The G8 Creative Industries Festival is launching a new advertising campaign in support of the G8 Awards, in which the leading advertising market agencies such as Voskhod, The Clients, BBDO, Marvelous, Progression and others have become unwitting participants. The idea of the advertising campaign was invented by the Krasnodar agency RUPORT.

G8 is a festival of creative industries. Every year, the G8 hosts a project competition for creative agencies, freelancers, and musicians, the G8 Awards. RUPORT invited the festival team to create an impromptu call center, whose employee calls creative directors and advertising agency owners, parodying a fraudster and convincing advertisers to apply for G8. Someone laughed, and someone was perplexed after these phrases:

● They are trying to write off $ 10 from your account
● They are trying to get access to your award from Yekaterinburg
● We noticed suspicious activity on your account
● This is not a fraud. Submission to the festival costs $10

The campaign participants are: Mitya Meshcheryakov, Magic Camp; Mitya Osadchuk, Mail.ru Group; Maxim Yurin, Little Big Agency; Evgeny Davydov, Setters; Artem Sinyavsky, Marvelous; Ivan Dergachev, The Clients; Andrey Gubaidullin, Voskhod and many others.

“We took a very responsible approach to the fulfillment of the task - to stimulate the submission of works to the G8 and deduct $10 from the participant's card. In the conversation, the operator used slightly rewritten scripts of real telephone scammers to gain access to money and cases of well-known agencies. I hope we succeeded, and along with the new names at the G8 festival we will see works by Voskhod, Setters or Depot, which, by the way, we did not get through” says Dmitry Kulich, creative director of RUPORT.

G8 accepts works until August 2 in the nominations: communications and design, music and sound.
