Task

To tell a young audience about the History of Arctic Fields Development project as a part of its global campaign "Time for the Arctic", to highlight the role of Gazprom Neft in developing Arctic infrastructure and environmental activities aimed at preserving the unique Arctic ecosystem and conserving wildlife.

Ideas and solutions

We have made an atmospheric game-simulator of Arctic exploration. In the point and click mechanics, the user has to complete the tasks they receive from the animals on the map. We drew a real explorers camp, an oil platform, 10 animals and a landscape in pixel style. To make the game more entertaining, we added an atmospheric soundtrack with real recordings from the Arctic (birdsong, wind noise, bear growl) and funny phrases that animals might say. To engage the user, we've thought of a system of Achievements that can only be obtained by completing all the tasks. Native integrations with information about Gazprom Neft Shelf's environmental activities were built into the communication with the player as the story progressed.
