Brand Identity
Task
Stoic is a crypto bot trading app that helps traders make the right decisions. The concept of the product is firmly based on the philosophy of “stoicism”. The bot helps traders to be more confident in their actions, to stand under the pressure of constant changes and market fluctuations and prevents them from making spontaneous actions. Our task was to come up with an identity based on ancient Greek philosophy for an extremely progressive and technological industry.
Ideas and solutions
The task to combine in the identity an ancient philosophy and a progressive product became the main challenge of the project. It might seem odd, but cyberpunk turned out to be the most suitable style for antiquity. These two visually different directions have something in common at the level of character: monumentality, pathos and a kind of mysticism. The protagonist of the identity is the brand character — the Stoic philosopher. The character sign, due to the characteristic drawing and work with shadows, perfectly demonstrates the stoic character of the brand and at the same time is the heart of the identity. Exactly like stoicism is the basis of the product. The torso is crafted in Asian minimalist cyberpunk aesthetic and sets the tone for the style. Due to the laconicism of the drawing, it does not distract from the sign and is easily scaled to new positions of the character. The graphics of the project should be noted separately. The pattern refers to financial quotes, but due to the nature of the drawing and colors, it fits perfectly into the overall style of identity and is very convenient to use. As a result, both the character and the identity are well embedded not only in the brand communication, but in the product itself. Which is extremely important for digital brands.
