Melon Fashion Group is a leading fashion retailer in Russia. The Company unites four popular brands: befree, ZARINA, LOVE REPUBLIC, sela. Melon Fashion brands are represented in 8 countries including Poland, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Armenia. Every day more than 100,000 people visit 850 stores. Ideas and solutions
Over the last 15 years the Company has grown a lot, has passed many bright advertising campaigns, and has raised loyal fans. All these information had to be systematised and landed in one web-resource. And had not forgotten to mention about the Anniversary. The concept is based on the Melon exciting history which opens to the user “scrolling by scrolling”. Rich colors, interactive titles, thoughtful animation, unique shots and videos with Naomi Campbell and Natalia Vodianova - all of this is reflected the Company's character: “to be an avangard,” and burn, dream, embody the most creative ideas. Special attention was paid to the fonts selection. Because the page had to look the same great in two languages - English and Russian. The layout also was adapted due to the specifics of multilingual content. We had no ready-made content before design was started. So this allowed us to create an inspiring and bright interface. Especially for this project Melon digitised a lot of archives' materials: photos, videos, interviews, publications. It helped to strengthen the interface ideas and solutions. An important part was laid on animation: a combination of vertical and horizontal scrolling, smooth transitions between semantic blocks, changing backgrounds and cursors. It gave an interface of fascinating dynamics. All users are greedy scrolling down the page in searching for new "easter eggs". Made with Vue.js, Nuxt, GSAP
