Tripinsurance: travel insurance Rosberry
Task
Tripinsurance is an online insurance service for independent travellers. Before the release of the mobile app, travellers had their policies issued through the website - tripinsurance.ru Reaching out to Rosberry, the client set several additional tasks: to launch a new sales channel for the existing business, to offer up-to-date ways for customer support and create competitive advantages for the existing business.
Ideas and solutions
We have worked through the UX which helps a user go through all the stages of effecting a policy step by step in a fast and easy manner. The team designed a quick and easy process of purchasing a product in the app which does not require registering or signing in and makes the UX way easier. Also the app now supports Apple Pay - there’s no need to fill out card details, because the app retains information about travellers, payment method and contact details, so a repeat purchase takes less than a minute. Moreover, the app offers a more consolidated system for customer support. We have introduced new ways of communication: online calls save money as a traveller should not use a mobile telephony for that, an in-app chat is completely independent of any third-party messengers. Online consultation has become a built-in feature: now in case of non severe accident a user should not go to the hospital. A traveller can get a consultation of a therapist or a pediatrician 24/7 right within the app through a text chat or video-call. If a trip lasts longer than expected, there’s no need to apply for a new insurance and fill out all the fields from scratch. A traveller can simply renew existing insurance by changing the end date and the payment method. Average time to effect a policy of insurance for a new user has decreased to only 4 minutes. Average time to renew insurance has decreased to only 2 minutes.
