Sofia Trotsenko was born in Moscow, graduated from the Faculty of Economics of VGIK and the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation with a focus on "management in the field of culture." In 2007 she became the head of the largest private art cluster in Russia - the Center for Contemporary Art Winzavod, which includes 11 leading Russian contemporary art galleries. As executive director of the Winzavod Foundation, she became one of the initiators of Kirill Serebrennikov's Platform project, and is now working on a dozen areas, including educational laboratories, Open Studios, New Names and street art initiatives.In addition, Sophia is on the board of projects to support the gallery business and creative industries in Russia - the Association of Galleries and the Union of Creative Clusters jointly with Artplay and Factory.
